About URS New South Wales

New South Wales is the gateway to Australia. With popular Bondi beach, the outback at Broken Hill, the world famous wineries of the Hunter Valley and the ski fields in the Snowy Mountains; NSW has it all.

The NSW/ACT region, with URS offices in Sydney and Newcastle, employs over 200 staff. The office structure consists of six discipline/sector based workgroups: Water, Surface Transport, Geotechnical, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Environmental Assessment and Remediation, Environment and Economic Services as well as support service staff. The workgroups provide the forum for the day-to-day management of staff and delivery of projects.

We have a strong team culture in the Sydney and Newcastle offices with a wide variety of professional and non-professional staff activities. We have a dedicated Social Committee along with a Well Being Committee, who develop and deliver staff functions, organise and support our numerous sporting teams and co-ordinate our various charitable fund-raising activities. We are regular participants in the City to Surf and the BRW Triathlon.
